"a Black cloud raining" is a story that is uniquely personal. It is a story that collectively belongs to everyone. It is the essence of heartbreak, loss of innocence, human goodness and the portrait of pure evil. A journey from disbelief to the birth of a deity, "a Black cloud raining" is an account of what could happen when the supernatural collides with ordinary people. Carmen, a little Black girl, becomes Anéyé, a powerful goddess. The storyline follows her as she grows in her understanding and reluctant acceptance of her metaphysical prowess. She is the central character in a narrative where the actors are real in substance though devoid of self constricting roles. The style of the writing is what the author calls player descriptive where the characters are frequently referred to by nouns that best describe their circumstances. It is 213 pages.
